There are always lots of questions to ask and sometimes you never know quite what to ask so here are a few to get you started..
I know nothing about Make-Up so will I be OK at an EstherMarie Make-Up Workshop ?
Perfect... your doing the best thing by coming to a Basic Make-Up Workshop.. we start with the basics.. skincare, foundation and take you step by step on what to do next with eyes. cheeks and lips.. They are always in small groups so there is plenty of time to practice.
I don't have any Make-Up to bring with me.. Do I go out and buy some first?
Absolutely not!. the whole point of you coming to an event is to learn what's best for you and to never make a bad Make-Up purchase again.. Our aim is to `train you up` so you know what to go out and buy...... you might be quite surprised how little you need!
What do I need to bring with me to the Make-Up Event/Workshop?
For a Make-Up Bag Revamp and; Make-Up lessons....Yourself and your Make-Up... That could be a bag, box or draw full! The more you bring the more you will get out of the event..
Wedding Trials and Special Make-Up Application... The Make-Up you are currently using so we can build a picture of what you do and don`t like!
All brushes, tissues cotton wool, mirrors and Make-Up are all supplied so don't worry if you don't have any Make-Up to bring.
For my Make-Up lesson.....Can I come with my Make-Up on and can I leave with Make-Up done?
Everyone is different so If you really cant cope with the world seeing you without Make-Up its not a problem. Come with how you normally would look, its actually good too see. Its up to you if you want to look a million dollars or play with different colours and techniques!. Just say at the start of the Make-Up Lesson and we will ensure you leave happy.
How long do the events last for?
It depends on what Make-Up service you have ..
A Make-Up Bag revamp.. it lasts for 2 hours.. so if there are 4 of you its 30 mins focusing on each person but you all do learn from watching each other.. If there is just 2 of you an hour each or just you .. then the whole 2 hours just on you.
A Make-Up Lesson 2 Hours.
A wedding trial normally 1-4 hours depending on how many Bridesmaids and Guest requiring Make-Up as well as the Bride there are.
What products do you recommend I purchase and can I re-order from you?
Product recommendations are difficult and need to be done per client, Using 25 years of knowledge there is not much we don't know... we can advise on what you are using and if you are getting the best from it.. Also how long you should keep it..
Finally the product we recommend to you will be10% off the retail price. So its well worth you re-ordering and being an EstherMarie Client.
When should I plan my Wedding Make-Up Trial?
Ideally 4-6 weeks before your wedding.. However we have done Wedding trials a week before and 6 months previous when a client has had it the same day as their hen night..! above all it needs to be in the day light.
How long will my Facial,Make-Up, Hair and Nails take on my Wedding Day / Special Application Make-Up?
Depending on what you have booked you need to allow..
30 mins facial
60 mins Make-Up
15 mins Eyes Lashes
60 mins Hair
30 mins Nails
If you have Bridesmaids and Guests also having services they will be overlapped.. I.e. when someone is having their Make-Up done another will be having their Hair done.
Do you do more than Make-Up?
Get the full works so if you want you Hair, Make-Up, Nails, Image, Beauty Treatments and a photo to capture it all! We have created a list of highly recommended professionals that EstherMarie has personally worked with on Fashion Shoot and Shows so I know your going to be very happy.
I see EstherMarie is based in Sutton Coldfield but I live in Manchester do you go that far?
Yes travel is not a problem.. the prices shown include travel with in the West Midlands area.. if you live outside the area then you will be charged fuel. Please email for a quote to where you live.
Where are the events held?
You can have your event at your home or we can come to your location at a hotel or place of work.
I would like to treat someone to a personal Make-Up lesson or attend a workshop can you keep it a secret?
We certainly can.. just call text or email and we will discuss you personal request... and it will be surprise until you get a knock at the door or they walk in to the workshop..
What age group do you cover?
Teenage beauty workshops are from 13 years to 19 years however if you have young ladies who are younger that 13 years they would be better with a Princess party.. this is packed full of fun and dressing up rather than Make-Up techniques.. Please contact to discuss your request in more detail.
Make-Up Workshops individual Events are from 14 years upwards so any age can be catered for..
My daughter is going to a prom how much Make-Up should she wear?
You can book an EstherMarie Make-Up Artist to come out to you on the night or why not have a Prom Prep Workshop.. where you learn all the top Make-Up techniques, complete your own Make-Up, and learn skills that you will keep forever. Then dress up in your Prom Dress learn how to pose for the camera and capture all this on a photo too!
Do you supply and fit False Eye Lashes, what's the charge and what type are they?
As fashion dictates its very `in vogue ` to have false eye lashes at the moment so we do supply and fit them... if you just want your own fitting its £10 extra per client. We supply separate and strip eyelashes that vary from £2 to £30. If you are looking for semi permanent eye lashes I have a list of recommended Consultants.
Do you do permanent Make-Up and medical tattoo procedures?
We have consultants who can provide these treatments.. Contact us and we will send you an information pack out to you.
